If you're marketing websites, scary as it may sound, you need to learn about social media

Google pays attention to third-party expert testimonials from independent sources – reviews, references, news articles. Recommendations from professional societies, are strong evidence of very positive reputation. Description meta tags are important because Google might use them as snippets for your pages. Note that we say "might" because Google may choose to use a relevant section of your page's visible text if it does a good job of matching up with a user's query. For sites “with just a few things to mark up,” Google also offers a tool within Search Console that allows a site owner to quickly click-and-drag to apply structured data. SEO is something that is constantly evolving and changing. First and foremost, the content on your website must be well-written, free of grammatical errors, and 100% unique and original. Content must read smoothly and give visitors the information they are searching for.

Personalization counts

Here′s what I can say, and it′s not a personal opinion, but a common fact: PPC brings results fast, but you have to pay all the time. The sums get rather big. And you never know for sure, whether PPC will pay for itself, or it′s just money down the drain. The number one rule is to focus on your website visitors first. Give them remarkable content that invites them to stay on your site and visit several other pages. Content is more than an article, it can be anything from an infographic, stellar image, video, street views of projects, or a power point presentation – be creative. Search engines “see” this behavior (user engagement, lower bounce rates, higher time-on site etc), and they reward your site for it with better quality metrics and higher rankings. Find potential websites to acquire links from. To do this, we want to go to our trusty Google search and conduct a few searches. These searches use a hidden feature of Google called “Search Operators.” The search operators can be used to drill down on concepts with Google and provide you additional options to find webpages. If your content is hard to scan, meaning it contains long sentences and paragraphs, it's likely that your visitors won’t stick around. Chances are, they’ll go to your competitors to find content that’s easier to consume. If your web pages contain errors that prevent Googlebot and other web crawlers from indexing them, you cannot get high rankings. For that reason, it is important that you check the crawlability of your web pages.

No Multiple Pages with the Same Keyword

Sometimes, all that you need are five to 10 relevant links, from authoritative sites, to begin seeing results from Google and other search engines. Google Trends tells you how searches in a subject change over time. You can use it to predict spikes and slumps as well as to know when you should update and change pages for the season or switch to using different keywords. You can look at and compare several different terms at a time Domain authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. What is SEO? The greatest selling point of SEO is something that it shares with most of the broader world of inbound marketing: it allows for the possibility of cumulative growth. Always research before you buy any SEO software because the search engine Algorithms are constantly changing thereby improving their search technologies to provide the most relevant results for their users. SEO tools for Google, MSN and Yahoo are numerous.

Google’s bots might not share your opinion

We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Google is a search engine that follows links. For Google to know about your site, it has to find it by following a link from another site." Google recommends responsive web design instead of individual pages for mobile and desktop. Responsive web design is a setup where the server always sends the same HTML code to all devices and CSS is used to alter the rendering of the page on the device. In the past, implementing SEO mainly involved in ensuring the targeted keywords are included in your website as many times as possible. This was regarded as the most effective practice. Many years ago, Google put together its search quality team, which is responsible for ensuring users get the best possible user experience by making sure that key signals of quality websites align well with results on search engine pages. Their job description is straightforward “A few hundreds of millions of times a day people will ask Google questions, and within a fraction of a second Google needs to decide which among the billions of pages on the web to show them — and in what order.” High-quality content on and off your website and using strategic link-building tactics (internal links and backlinks) is a critical component to achieving relevancy. This strategy protects the website’s viability against the frequent changes in Google’s rules and priorities.

How does your website look now on different devices?

You can easily find that the top-quality websites keep their followers updated with new engaging content that is in line with current trends. Not practising this method will lead to your website becoming quickly outdated, which won’t take your rankings any higher. Your website is only as strong as your weakest link, so, the more pages you have “that are indexed and aging” and “linked appropriately or exclusively with the anchor text that page is intended to rank for” the easier it rises to the top unchecked by competitors. If you have the exact match domain name, search engines will give your domain priority. Search engines are the primary method of navigation for most Internet users. For great search engine optimization, a good rule of thumb for any B2B firm’s content strategy is to present itself as a credible expert. Google views your site as authoritative when other sites link back to it. It doesn’t want to see a site that is spammy linking back to your site. If you try and manipulate the system, you can get hit with a Google penalty and your site won't rank at all.

We all know that proper search engine optimisation (SEO) is critical to boosting brand awareness

If you don’t know how to properly do it, then you are going to fail. In many cases, you will fail remarkably well. In fact, here are a few ways in which SEO tends to fail and what you can do to stay on top of things. Link building is also spreading brand awareness and capturing referral traffic. SEO is not hard. It does, however take time – it involves technical tweaks on your website, competitive analysis/content strategy, and building links from around the web. Links don't matter that much for ranking in the Featured Snippet when you already rank on page one of Google. If you are using Google analytics platform you can reduce bounce rate even further by implementing event tracking for outgoing links that lead for example to a third party booking engine (if cross domain tracking isn’t supporting it from your vendor) or use virtual pageviews functionality to track inbound phone calls from your mobile optimized website.
